There are currently over 50 forestry consulting firms in the Province of British Columbia that belong to CFBC.
Active membership is open to those firms with at least one Registered Forest Professional of British Columbia (RPF or RFT) on staff.
An associate membership category was added in 1998 which allows firms without an RPF on staff to become members.
CFBC has one Annual General Meeting per year, usually in mid to late February, and in conjunction with the Association of B.C. Professional Foresters annual conference. This is typically your opportunity as a member to bring issues of concern forward to the CFBC executive. Reports are submitted by each of the Directors at this meeting and the incoming President outlines his thoughts and direction for his term of office. Your attendance is encouraged.
CFBC Directors Meetings are held approximately once per month. Since CFBC attempts to have directors representative of all parts of the Province, directors’ travel costs can account for a major portion of the annual budget. Increasingly, teleconferences are employed to reduce costs.
Members are welcome to bring any issues of concern to the attention of any CFBC director or the Executive Assistant.
